SLAYTON – Beginning in January 2023, those who construct a new single-family home, duplex or multi-family complex in Murray County could be eligible for a tax abatement for up to five years. Murray County Commissioners in August approved the Murray County Home Initiative, which offers a tax abatement on the county’s portion of increased real estate taxes that are a result of new home construction.

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) makes loans to youth to establish and operate agricultural income-producing projects in connection with 4-H clubs, FFA and other agricultural groups. Projects must be planned and operated with the help of the organization advisor, produce sufficient income to repay the loan and provide the youth with practical business and educational experience. The maximum loan amount is $5,000.

Zahrbock has been a long time resident of Marshall, MN and is Vice President/ Business Relationship Manager for Western Equipment Finance here in Marshall. This year’s campaign theme is Live United to the Power of 5. “Living United to the Power of 5” is meant to show us how every effort can go so much further when we work together.
