BUTTERMAKERS GO 1-1 FOR WEEK

Here is the game update: Milroy Shutouts Buttermakers Hadley travelled to Milroy for their first Wednesday night league game of the young season to take on the Irish.

LOOSBROCK RETIRES

By Jenny Kirk Fresh out of college at Southwest Minnesota State University, Brenda Loosbrock started her first elementary teaching job at Murray County Central Schools in Slayton. Today, 35 years later, she is retiring from the career she has loved for all of those years.

NAPS (SECOND HARVEST)

Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) in the Slayton area, sponsored by Second Harvest Heartland distribution will be held at the office of A.C.E. of Southwest Minnesota - Murray County at 2989 Maple Rd., Slayton MN. COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY

SLAYTON – Dirt work is underway for the new Murray County Highway Department site, located off Highway 30 near the airport. According to Job Supervisor Jim Theurer of Contegrity Group, a completion date of June 2024 is the goal, but there will be no lack of action at the site over the summer.

PLUM CREEK LIBRARY SYSTEM INTRODUCES NEW STORYTELLING KIT COLLECTION

Libraries in the Plum Creek Library System (PCLS) are rolling out their new Storytelling Kits this month and invite patrons to learn more about the new collection of more than 130 kits. Funded through the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund (ACHF), the kits range in subjects from ABCs to Zoos.
