Here is the week’s recap: WEDNESDAY: MARSHALL 6 HADLEY 4 Another Wednesday nightanother hard luck loss for the Buttermakers. Hadley traveled to Marshall to take on the A’s in their annual home-and-home series. Hadley was hoping to steal a win against the A’s but that was not to be for Hadley on Wednesday. With a new batch of young Rebels joining the roster, Wednesday’s game would be an opportunity for them to get quality playing time.

FULDA SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE CAMP

The Fulda Summer Youth Theatre camp spent an amazing week together, performing ‘A Crazy Day at Sunny Days’ (written by Heidi Appel) the week of June 8-12. Students focused on developing theater skills in a fun, supportive and collaborative environment. They had so much fun working together to explore and expand their “Actor Toolbox” – their body, voice, and imagination! MCC REBELS TAKE THIRD IN CLASS A STATE BASEBALL

Murray County Central spring sports were certainly exciting this year, with MCC athletes going to state in golf, track and baseball. MCC Rebels Baseball headed up to state tournaments for the first time since 2001, walking away with a third-place victory in Class A.

SLAYTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVES REPAIRS TO SLAYTON FIRE DEPARTMENT PUMPER TRUCK

Considerable repairs to the Slayton Fire Department pumper truck were approved by Slayton City Council at Monday night’s meeting. Emergency Apparatus Maintenance, Inc. had prepared a quote for $12,090.76, with that quote listing everything on the pumper truck that is in need of repair.
