FULDA CITY COUNCIL APPROVES PLUM CREEK AGREEMENT

Fulda City Council members held lengthy discussions during their Monday evening meeting regarding several items listed on the October agenda. Included in the discussions were upcoming streets and sewer improvements, a proposed Fulda Fire Department Personnel Policy and two proposed ordinances regarding motorized bicycles, scooters, golf carts, ATV’s and UTV’s.

Approved was a 2027 contract for Emergency On-Call Law Enforcement Services proposed by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office for the City of Fulda.

Also approved was a Plum Creek Library Agreement update. The updates include the removal of the Pipestone School District as a member per their request, a reduction in the notice period for special board meetings from two weeks to five days, a shift in the preliminary budget timeline from March to April and revisions to trustee appointment language to provide additional flexibility in selection methods. Each of the revisions is administrative in nature, and none are intended to alter the intent or governance structure of the agreement.

Three building permits were approved:

• Lori Knorr - tear down a shed

• Shane Evers - build a deck

• Jan Wehking - wheel chair ramp Fulda City Council will meet for their next monthly meeting on Monday, November 2nd, 2026, at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
