NOBLES COOPERATIVE ELECTRIC ANNOUNCES THE YOUTH TOUR AND SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS FOR 2024

Nobles Cooperative Electric is thrilled to announce the 2024 Youth Tour Contest Winner. Vince VanderKooi, senior at Worthington High School, has been chosen to represent the cooperative at the 2024 Rural Electric Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., from June 18-23, 2024. Vince, son of Joe and Rita, will join 1,900 high school students from cooperatives nationwide.

SLAYTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVES RESURFACING BID TO DUNNINCK

Slayton City Council met on Monday, March 18. All councilmembers except Chris Jacobson were present. The agenda was amended to include authorizations to post for seasonal hires. Agenda was approved. The minutes from the March 4 meeting were approved. Claims were also approved.

REALITY CHECK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

It’s hard to believe, but we are going into year three of Reality Check, the budgeting project for high school seniors. Reality Check – a live-action game of Life – started in Murray County when a social media post regarding a similar program caught the eye of a librarian.

the last days many Christians would fall away from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We see the truth of that statement all throughout the Church world today. We are in the apostasy that Paul spoke of in his letter to the Thessalonians; this falling away would happen shortly before Christ returns to gather His true Church from the earth. (1 Thess. 4:13-18).
