During the general election on November, 3rd, 2026, Minnesota voters will decide whether to modernize the way Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund (PSF) distributes revenue to public schools through a proposed constitutional amendment. Amending the PSF would not raise taxes, create a new tax, or establish a new funding source. But it will update how annual revenue from this existing education trust fund is distributed to better support Minnesota students, along with preserving the fund for future generations.

The Piecemakers Quilt Club will be meeting on Tuesday, September 29th at 1:30 pm in the Community Room of the Slayton Public Library. Members will be tieing & labeling Christmas projects. Quilt piece for November is gold & December is red. New members are welcome! See you there!

Jesus did not come to bring more religion; He came to bring eternal life. John 3:16. Read Matthew 23: and you will see what Jesus thinks about a religious system that helps or saves no one. Our world is full of religion. The religious leaders hated Jesus because they were jealous of Him and He broke their religious rules, like healing people on the Sabbath. He let them know that man is far more important than all their rules that kept the people in bondage. Read Luke 4:18-19 To see what Jesus came to accomplish. Our God is a good God! He desires to bless us, to free us from all bondage. He desires to heal the brokenhearted and to reveal God’s great love for you and I. Do you know Jesus in a personal way? Or, do you just know about Jesus? We are not all God’s children; we are sons of Adam. We become the children of God when we surrender our lives to Jesus. God bless.
