The Murray County Board of Commissioners met on January 4, 2022 in the first session of the year. The first item of business was the organization of the board. Commissioner Molly Malone was elected to serve as chair with Commissioner Dennis Welgraven to fill the role of vice chair.
The Board of Directors of the Chandler Co-op recently voted to retire patron stock in the amount of $555,950 to those patrons born in 1952 and 1936. The cooperative also retires stock on a 13-year revolvement plan and retires estates.
Murray County 4-H has been helping 4-H families get ready for the holiday season. After school adventures at both MCC and Fulda as well as an all county event had 70 youth making holiday decorations in the month of December. If your k - 6th grade student at MCC or Fulda is looking for an after school activity, it’s not too late to join. Upcoming events: January: Fruit Batteries, February; Chocolate Welding, March: Kinetic Math and Art and April: Bugs and Butterflies.
