BOYS WIN BALLGAME AGAINST MLA/C

On Thursday 4-21, the Rebels traveled to Mountain Lake for another Red Rock Conference battle with the Wolverines. It was one of the nicer days of spring so far for the baseball team, and that helped wake up the bats for the Rebels.

REBELS BASEBALL WINS OVER RRC/WWG

Last Tuesday 4-19 the MCC pulled out a tough griddy conference win against RRC/WWG 6-5. Rebel senior Peyton Coulter was in charge of holding a tough team in check. RRC/WWG got on the board first, scoring in the first inning with a groundout that scored one run.

TRACK COMPETES IN TRACY

In their second meet of the year, the MCC Track team competed in the Panther II in Tracy. Not only did they battle it out against six other schools but also the cold elements. Most of the night, wind chill temperatures were below freezing. This day would test not only their physical abilities, but also their mental toughness.

TRACKSTERS KICK OFF SEASON

After a couple meet postponements, the MCC Rebel Track team kicked off the 2022 season as they traveled to Mountain Lake on April 12. What was scheduled as a six team meet ended up being only three as a few teams dropped out due to the weather forecast. Veteran coaches Dominick Damm (girl’s coach) and Tim Bobeldyk (boy’s coach) used this first meet as an opportunity for kids to establish a baseline in their respective events. By the end of day, coaches and athletes alike were happy to be able to get on the track and compete against athletes from other schools.

MCC GOLF TEAMS KICK OFF SEASONS

BOYS GOLF STARTED SEASON AT MARSHALL INVITATIONAL The MCC Boys Golf team started their season off on a beautiful day at the Marshall Golf Course. After a few meet cancellations, the players were itching to get outside and play a round.

REBEL SOFTBALL OPENS SEASON ON THE ROAD TO WABASSO TOURNEY

The MCC Rebels boarded a Ludolph Brothers bus and headed to Wabasso for their first two games of the season this past weekend. The Rebels like all spring sports teams have battled mother nature and have fought a losing battle but on Saturday with some sunshine and some dry fields, the Rebels took to a softball field for the first time this season with mixed results.

REBELS FALL TO WWG IN QUARTERFINALS

The #4 seed MCC Rebels took on the #5 seed WWG Chargers in the rubber match of the regular season in Worthington, Saturday. WWG won in OT at Westbrook and MCC won at home in the second match-up in a low scoring affair. There wasn’t much doubt that this game would be similar and in most all tightly contested games, the team that makes the least amount of mistakes will win.

BOYS FINISH REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN

The B and A teams finished up their respective regular seasons Monday night. The B-squad looking to finish with a win and a record of 18-5. Varsity looking to go into the playoffs with confidence and another conference win as their seed is set at 4th, playing WWG and will have earned the 3rd best conference record regardless of this games outcome.
