In their second meet of the year, the MCC Track team competed in the Panther II in Tracy. Not only did they battle it out against six other schools but also the cold elements. Most of the night, wind chill temperatures were below freezing. This day would test not only their physical abilities, but also their mental toughness.

Ryanna Schreier was a triple winner, taking top honors in the 100 and 200 meter sprints while also being a member of the 4x400 meter relay team where she teamed up with her sister Brylei and Ashley and Amanda Overgaauw. Brylei was also a member of the winning 4x800 relay as was Amanda, who also won the 3200 meter run. Lily Daniels and Sophia Nelson ran the other two legs of the relay. For the second straight meet, Ashley Overgaauw won the 800 and 1600.

Sprinter Brailynn Breberg was 5th in the 100 and runner • up to Schreier in the 200. Chelby Kesteloot took 5th in the 200. Brealyn Damm and Megan Bakke took some distance off their normal races, running the open 400 where they finished 3rd and 4th respectively. Damm added a 4th place finish in the long jump and Bakke a 3rd in the 1600. Senior exchange student Quinti Parra-Mendez was runner up in the 800 while Lindsey Hause was 5th in the same race. Hause also tied for second in the high jump. In other field events on the girls side, Cassidy Johnson finished 4th in the discus.

On the boys side, hurdler Ashton Kalas was runner up in the 110 while Ryan Risacher was runner up in the 300 meter hurdles. Brock Smith took home a fourth place finish in the 100 meter dash and Logan Steinle placed 5th in the 200. Eighth grader Jordan Sturges shows great promise in sprints as he came across the line in 5th in the 400. Senior distance runner Rylan Engelkes ended up in third in the 800 meter run. Fellow distance runner Wyatt Biren was 5th in the 3200.
