GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen The apostle Peter said in Acts 4:12, “There is no other name given among men under heaven, whereby we must be saved.” He is speaking of Jesus of course. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.” That pretty much shuts the door to all those who think there are many ways to get to heaven. We are confronted with making decisions constantly; however, I believe the most important decision we are confronted with in life is, ‘What will we do with Jesus Christ?’ This is so important because our eternal destiny will be determined by the choice we make. If you accept Him, then you are to be His follower. That means you love Him, you serve Him, you keep His commandments. He is to be the Lord of your life. Paul said to Titus in Chapter one, “Many profess to know Christ but in their daily lives they prove that they do not know Him.” These people are only deceiving themselves. What choice did or will you make concerning Jesus? God bless.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Ephesians 3:20 tells us, “Now to Him [God] who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,” We Christians limit God every day. We struggle through life burdened with the cares of this world. We worry about tomorrow; we’re fearful and anxious about many things. We live with a ‘I hope everything will work out alright’ attitude. We Christians believe that ‘Prayer changes things,’ but we too often don’t pray earnestly. James 5:16 tells us that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much:” But if we pray, do we really believe that God will hear and answer the cry of our heart? If we pray, we’re to pray in faith! Scripture says, “Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” If we doubt what we are praying, we will not receive. We must feed our faith by continually renewing our mind with the Word of God, and build a faith-based prayer life. God bless.
