REBELS FALL TO WWG IN QUARTERFINALS

The #4 seed MCC Rebels took on the #5 seed WWG Chargers in the rubber match of the regular season in Worthington, Saturday. WWG won in OT at Westbrook and MCC won at home in the second match-up in a low scoring affair. There wasn’t much doubt that this game would be similar and in most all tightly contested games, the team that makes the least amount of mistakes will win.

Pipestone County Medical Center and Family Clinic Avera (PCMC) is excited to welcome a new orthopedic provider to its medical staff. April Labat, CNP, began at PCMC on February 28, 2022, after spending the last three years with Sanford Orthopedics as a nurse practitioner working in an orthopedic clinic. Labat has 12 years of nursing experience, and with her arrival, PCMC’s orthopedic services will be significantly enhanced to provide onsite orthopedic coverage Monday-Friday.

SHETEK LUTHERAN MINISTRIES RECEIVES DNR NO CHILD LEFT INSIDE GRANT

Shetek Lutheran Ministries (SLM) recently received a $4,760 No Child Left Inside Grant through the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Through their environmental education program, Shetek Environmental Learning Center (SELC), SLM will be able to develop and provide new winter outdoor environmental and ecological programs, providing at-risk youth with the opportunity to explore the outdoors.
