METAL JEWELRY STAMPING LEARNED IN CLASS AT FULDA

By Norma Ditmann Fourteen students gathered at Fulda City Hall on Thursday, October 2nd for a metal jewelry stamping class instructed by Jen Anfinson of Jen Anfinson Studios, Paynesville, MN. Anfinson shared that her background is in a variety of areas in the jewelry industry, including design, goldsmithing, setting, buying and selling.

MURRAY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ACCEPT ADMINISTRATOR’S RESIGNATION

By Justine Wettschreck and Joanne Bergman The Murray County Commissioners on Tuesday accepted the resignation of Administrator Carolyn McDonald, who has been on paid administrative leave since September 23. The paid leave was pending an independent investigation over employee complaints against McDonald, some of which came to light during a recent employee survey.

WARRIORS EARN STRONG FINISHES AT OLIVIA MEET

By Allie Paulzine The Murray County Central/ Fulda Warriors cross country teams turned in a strong performance at the Olivia Golf Course on Thursday, highlighted by a first-place finish from the junior high boys and a third-place team finish from the varsity boys.

MCC REBELS EXTEND WINNING STREAK

The MCC Rebels were riding a three game winning streak entering Friday night’s game against the Tracy Milroy Balaton Panthers. The Rebels were also playing in their third straight homecoming game, after playing on their own and then LQPV’s last week. The Panthers have become the Rebels football rivals over the years, especially after Adrian moved to 9-man football this season. The Rebels beat the Panthers twice last season and their winning streak would continue on Friday night.

As we are now one month into the school year, it is a good time to review attendance expectations for our elementary students. These expectations have changed slightly from last year since we are beginning our school day at a different time.
