DINEHART LUNCHBOX LECTURE TO HOST PHOTOGRAPHER JAY GRAMMOND ON “GHOST SIGNS & GRAIN BINS: A LOOK AT MINNESOTA’S FARMING HERITAGE” The Murray County Historical Society and Slayton Public Library invites the public to attend the March Lunchbox Lecture Thursday, March 12th, 2026, in the 4-H building on the Murray County Fairgrounds in Slayton starting at noon. This month’s lecture will feature Jay Grammond on “Ghost Signs & Grain Bins: A Look At Minnesota’s Farming Heritage” Step into the fading paint and rusted tin of Minnesota’s agricultural past in this visually rich and story-filled presenta-tion.

Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) is sponsoring a People’s Town Hall from 2 to 3:30 p.m. March 18 at Fulda City Hall, 102 3rd St. NE, Fulda, to hear from members and other interested community members. The event is free and open to the public.

Murray County Early Childhood Initiative has had to reschedule the final Swim Event in Fulda due to a lack of lifeguard availability. The Swim Event at the Fulda Pool will now be from 1 to 4 p.m.

Adalie Pick, daughter of Emily and Adam Pick of Avoca and a fourth-grade student at MCC West Elementary, recently earned a trip to the Minnesota State Gymnastics Championships, qualifying in four events.

Students from the MCC Theater Department recently made a trip to the Orpheum Theatre in the Twin Cities, thanks in part to a grant from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council, which was made possible by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature.
