MURRAY COUNTY CLASSIC DRAFT HORSE SHOW CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND, LOOKS AHEAD TO 20TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2027

The Murray County Classic Draft Horse Show welcomed exhibitors and spectators from across the Midwest June 2628 at the Murray County Fairgrounds, once again celebrating the strength, beauty, and tradition of the draft horse. Although Sunday’s performances were canceled due to rain and unsafe arena conditions, Friday and Saturday featured outstanding competition, enthusiastic crowds, and exceptional displays of horsemanship.

SHETEK AREA SMOOTH SAILING TAKE MAPLE LAWN SENIOR CARE RESIDENT PONTOONING

Maple Lawn Senior Care residents were treated to time on Fulda Lakes this past week when Shetek Area Smooth Sailing provided pontoon rides. The residents certainly enjoyed the time on the water and appreciated seeing what is built along the lake shore and the beauty of the scenery.

COMPETITIVE WEIGHTLIFTING STARTS OUT STRONG IN FULDA

Coach Ryan Koopman is excited to be adding Competitive Weightlifting to the Fulda students’ list of options as a winter sport. Fulda Competitive Weightlifting began for the first time this past winter.

4-H YOUTH ATTEND CAMP AT LAKE SHETEK

Youth in grades 3-6 from across southwest Minnesota gathered at Lake Shetek for a three-day, two-night 4-H camp this month. 4-H Staff and trained high school 4-H youth counselors provided leadership for the camp activities.
