FULDA CSAH 2 INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE

Fulda residents have watched as the CSAH 2 infrastructure work that was planned by Bollig Engineering, Willmar, MN, began a number of weeks ago. At the Fulda City Council meeting that was held on Monday, December 1, 2025, both Jordan Odegard, Project Engineer, and Cam Larson, Project Manager with Bollig Engineering were present to share information regarding the progress of the project.

AG PLUS C-STORE TO CLOSE IN SLAYTON

The Ag Plus Cooperative convenience store on Highway 59 in Slayton will close at the end of the year, according to information released by Justin Kunkel, Marketing Manager of Ag Plus Cooperative. “With four convenience stores already located in Slayton, the opportunity for meaningful growth at this site has become increasingly limited,” Kunkel said in a written statement.

PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION ONLINE HEARING ON XCEL ON JUST COMPENSATION

The first of two public hearings on the just compensation if the City of Slayton were to purchase a piece of Xcel Energy was sparsely attended in the online format on Tuesday. Administrative Law Judge Christa Moseng presided over the brief hearing, in which each side – Xcel and the city – gave a quick recounting of their facts.
