Minnesota Farmfest is preparing for its 44th show, August 5-7, 2025, and their lineup of education sessions, events and exhibitors aims to prepare ag producers for the coming year.
The forums at Farmfest cover topics that educate and prepare farmers across an array of topics including the ever-evolving ag technology. A forum entitled “How Artificial Intelligence is Reshaping Agriculture” is scheduled on the Wick Buildings Farmfest Center stage, Tues., August 5, at 9:30 a.m. The session will include experts in the field of A.I. and will be moderated by Zach Johnson, The Millennial Farmer.
Preparation for the year ahead in agriculture includes an economic outlook. Attendees interested in learning what to expect should attend the “Ag Outlook Forum” on Wed., August 6, at 9:15 a.m. The session will feature a panel of experts including Kurt Blomgren, Minnesota Farm Service Agency Director, Brian Werner, Executive Direction of Minnesota Biofuels, Mark Schutlz of North Star Commodities and Dave Nicolai, University of Minnesota Crops Extension Educator.
“Providing resources to keep farmers ahead of the game is what we aim to do at Farmfest,” said Melissa Sanders Carroll, Executive Director of IDEAg Group.
Livestock producers will find resources as well. The Livestock Tent at Farmfest will host not only live cattle chute demonstrations but also education sessions. Producers can learn about the new world screwworm and other pandemic livestock disease outbreaks in an 11:30 a.m. session on Tues. August 5. A session titled “In the Red or In the Black? Managing Risk and Finding Profit in the Cattle & Hog Markets” will take place Wed. August 6 at 11:30 a.m.
Farmfest will host exhibits from over 350 companies across the upper Midwest and beyond. Those companies will showcase their latest and most innovative products and solutions for ag producers and will be on site to help them learn.
“The technology used by ag producers on their farms advances rapidly,” said Taylor Anderson, Farmfest Operations Manager and local grower, “Farmfest is a place where attendees can learn what’s new and how to integrate new products and practices on their own farms by visiting the exhibitors at Farmfest.”
Farmfest takes place August 5-7 on the Gillfillan Estate in Morgan, MN. Attendees can get discounted advance tickets to the event on Farmfest.com.
