Ditch Inspector Travis Radke had three repair petitions for consideration. One in Belfast Township, Section 16, one in Dovray Township, Section 22 and one in Chanarambie Township, Section 11.
Highway Engineer Randy Groves along with Maintenance Supervisor Lonn Jackels discussed trading three pieces of equipment. Two skid loaders, a 2010 and a 2018 model along with a scissors lift at a total trade in price of $1 57,089.60. The plan is to continue a twoyear rotation of the equipment to always remain in warranty to save costs of repair. Along with those purchases the board allowed early order placement of a tandem plow truck and a motor grader. The savings will amount to $32,000 with payment and arrival of equipment in 2025.
An Open House of the new highway building is being planned for September 19 to allow the public to view the new facility.
Approval was given to the 2024-2025-employment contract for the Sheriff’s deputies. The contract calls for a 5% Cost of Living increase with payment retroactive to January 1, 2024.
