Final Box Score RHE Hadley 9 11 4 Heron Lake 3 4 3 Sunday – vs Pipestone HADLEY 6 PIPESTONE 3 Hadley was hoping to sweep the season series against the Pipestone A’s. Whenever these two teams meet, you never know what direction the game will roll. On Sunday, things rolled the Buttermakers way. Hadley would throw Tucker Sorenson against the young A’s team.

Tucker sailed through the A’s in the 1st inning, putting the A’s down 1-2-3 on 3 strikeouts. Hadley would jump out on top in their at bat. Evan Lenz would lead-off by singling. After Joe Larson flew out, Derek Kluis would single putting runners on the corners. Max Zwart would then hit into a fielder’s choice with Evan Lenz scoring. Hadley would add 2 more runs in the 2nd when Jakob Olson sent a pitch over the left field fence for a 2-run homer. Hadley would go up 4-0 in the 3rd when Abe Paulzine worked out bases loaded walk.

Pipestone would make the game interesting for Hadley when they recorded their first hits off Tucker in the 4th inning. Unfortunately, those 2 hits were a 2-run and solo homerun to cut Hadley’s lead to 4-3.

The game would stay that way until the 7th inning when Hadley would break through with 3 hits and get a run on a sacrifice fly from Max Zwart. Hadley would add an insurance run in the 8th when they collected 3 hits again with Joe Larson singling to push Hadley to a 6-3. Tucker Sorenson would end the game the way he started when struck out the side for the Hadley victory.

Tucker Sorenson had another fine pitching performance for the Buttermakers. Despite the hiccup he had in the 4th inning, Tucker ended the game by limiting Pipestone to only 4 hits, walking 3 A’s batters and recording 20 strikeouts in his complete game performance moving his record to 4-3.

Joe Larson and Jakob Olson led Hadley with 3 hits each. Derek Kluis would chip in with 2 hits with Evan Lenz, Max Zwart, Danny Blankenship, and Austin Irlbeck each getting 1 hit. RHE Hadley 6 11 1 Pipestone 3 4 2 Hadley will finish their regular season schedule when they travel to Luverne to take on the Gopher League leading Redbirds on Wednesday.
