The Rebels had a perfect day for golf on Tuesday for their third conference meet. The girls traveled to Mountain Lake, while the boys headed to Adrian. The round started off fairly windy, but died down midway through the meet. The squads needed to play solid in order to finish in a good spot before the final conference meet.
Elie Meyer came in with the low score for MCC, carding a 93. Meyer had 4 pars and a birdie which helped her clench the 3rd place tie individually. Right behind her was Ciera Tutt who shot a 95, grabbing the 5th place tie. The girls shot a team total of 404 which is a huge improvement from their first two meets. They are still sitting in 2nd place as a team heading into the final conference meet.
The Rebel boys played very well in Adrian, shaving a few strokes off their previous meet scores. They finished with a team total of 382, which has them sitting in 4th place going into next week’s final meet. Trey Veldhuisen led MCC with a 90. He was able to card 3 pars and a birdie on the day.
