William F. Bacon, age 84, of Avoca, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, peacefully at home.
He was born in Brainerd on September 8, 1937, to Alvin and Josephine (Koenig) Bacon. In his teens his family moved to Two Harbors where he met and married Dorothy Roscoe on August 30, 1958. Their daughter Evie was born October 4, 1964, and their son Curt was born February 12, 1968. In 1968 the business was bought in Avoca, where Bill spent many years following his passion of repairing and rebuilding vehicles. Family, church, and Bible study were very important in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughter Evie (Bruce) Barnes Colorado Springs, grandchildren Gabrielle, Chandler, and Mclayne; son Curtis (Sofia) of Kingwood, Texas; siblings Lois, Edward, Charlotte, Ellen, Deloris, Kathy, and Dennis. Bill was a Deacon and Elder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Windom, where a memorial service will be held at a later date.
