Suzanne Rasmussen Klein, daughter of Leonard (Lang) and Ethelyn (Holm) Rasmussen, was born on June 23, 1939, in Clarion, Iowa. She was baptized into the Christian faith on June 15, 1941, and confirmed her faith on June 3, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Kanawha, Iowa. She was raised in Kanawha, where she attended school and graduated from Kanawha High School in 1957. Sue continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and began her teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher in West Bend, Iowa.

Suzanne married Robert Klein on June 23, 1961, at the Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. They made their home in Rodman, Iowa, where they began raising their family. After their first child was born, Sue devoted herself to building a loving home, caring for their five children, and helping the family farm. In 1974, the family moved to a farm near Avoca, Minnesota. After their children were raised, Sue and Robert moved to Fulda in 1987. When her children were still in school, Sue began her second career as a Nurse Aide at Maple Lawn Nursing Home, where she faithfully served residents for twenty-eight years until her retirement. Her caring spirit, compassion, and dedication touched the lives of many families in the community. Sue’s greatest passions included playing bridge, enjoying breakfast with her friends, reading a good book, searching for treasures at rummage sales, camping, and spending time with family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the apple of her eyes, and she was delighted in sharing their accomplishments, activities, and everyday adventures. Sue was called home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2026, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, following complications from congestive heart failure.
