Mary Zetta Pyle, born December 5, 1946, passed away unexpectedly October 6, 2022 in her home in Rosemount, MN at age 75.
She was the daughter of Orville and Zetta (Nord) Pyle. She grew up on a farm in Murray County, Fenton Township, where she attended country school until she was in 3rd grade, then went to Chandler school for 3 years. The family moved to Slayton and she graduated from Slayton High School in 1964. After four years in the US Air Force stationed at Westover, MA, Mary attended Saint Catherine’s University in St. Paul, MN, where she earned her nursing degree. She worked her entire nursing career at the Minneapolis VA Hospital as an RN. Mary was an avid cat lover, reader, card player, and crafter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William O. Pyle. She is survived by siblings Susan (Les) Muck, Jane (Ted) Wolfram, Jo (Mary-Ellen) Pyle, and Peggy (Mike) Hoglund. She lovingly spoiled many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She will be dearly missed. Interment will be held in the Slayton Cemetery at a later date.
