Lois Patricia (Brink) Anderson, 92, passed away on March 16, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born on August 13, 1932, in Lura Township, South Dakota, to Melvin and Pearl (Jacobson) Brink.

Lois led a life defined by hard work, generosity, and devotion to her family. In her early years, she worked as a telephone operator and in egg candling before dedicating much of her time to working on the farm. A woman of remarkable energy and kindness, Lois found joy in tending to the garden. She had a passion for painting pumpkins which she sold at the local farmers market. Lois worked as both the church secretary and the janitor for many years. She took great pride in her work and carried that same dedication into every aspect of her life.

After retiring and moving to Apache Junction, AZ with her husband, she maintained not only her own yard but also those of her neighbors. She could often be seen riding her bike—her preferred mode of transportation for carrying tools as she helped care for the yards around her community.

Her love for animals was evident throughout her life, as she cared for many dogs over the years, including her beloved Shih Tzus, Peppi and Rocco.

Lois was deeply family-oriented and cherished the time spent with loved ones. She is survived by her five daughters: Pam Rochelle of Myrtle Beach, SC; Pat (Chuck) Platt of Slayton, MN; Dixie (Bryon) Platt of Iona, MN; Rhonda Meyer (Mark Engbarth) of Marshall, MN; and Jodi Allen (Beau Burns) of Mesa, AZ, as well as her siblings Myron Brink, Faye Mull, Marilyn Kallio, and Ray Brink.

She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Jason (Michelle) Rochelle, Stacy (Larry) Olivares, Jaime (Steven) Victor, Lance (Abbey) Platt, Heidi (Dave) Karlstad, Angie (Mike) Mondi, Mindy (Eric) Janssen, Riley (Hope) Meyer, Sharie (Nick) Bergman, Shawn (Sarah) Platt, Paul Platt, Haley (Andy) Fischer, Kiara Allen, Masen Allen, and 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Anderson; parents Melvin and Pearl Brink; sister-in-law Velma Brink; brothers-in-law Roger Mull and John Kallio; and sister-in-law Gerri Brink.

A special thanks to Desert Oasis Assisted Living caregiver Mylin Gatus for her compassionate care in Lois’ final days. Lois’s legacy is one of kindness and unwavering dedication to those around her. Her generosity touched many lives through both small acts of service and the deep love she shared with family and friends. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you consider donating in her name to the charities closest to her heart: American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association.
