Kathleen “Kathy” Lagge-Roemer, 81, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. A Liturgical Wake Service and Holy Rosary will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Sioux Falls.

Kathleen C. Feller, daughter of Andrew and Lilla (Carroll) Feller was born March 15, 1943, in Pierre, South Dakota. At the age of four, her family moved to Howard where she later graduated from St. Agatha High School in 1961. She was united in marriage with Jerry Riedel in 1961. From their union, they had two daughters: Shelly and Jane. They lived in Madison, Brookings, then Watertown. During this time, she was employed with Brown Clinic, Dakota Grain & Seed, Fox Grain & Seed, and the Mother of God Monastery. She later married Jim Finger and moved to Thoreau, New Mexico, where they served as house parents at St Bonaventure Indian School, then at St Joseph Indian School in Chamberlain, SD. They moved to Sioux Falls where they owned a Dairy Queen. After she sold the store, she became an apartment manager for Lloyd Companies.

Kathy was swept off her feet by Loren Lagge and they were married in 1997. They later moved to their dream hobby farm in Garretson that had space for all their collectables. She retired from Lloyd Companies after Loren’s death in 2007. In 2012, she married Delwin Roemer and moved to Lake Wilson and Slayton, Minnesota. She was a member of St Therese Catholic Church in Sioux Falls. Kathy had been a longtime active member of the Catholic Daughters and facilitated in the Beginning Experience and Divorced, Widowed, and Separated ministries. Most recently, she was living at Stoneybrook Assisted Living Center with her special friend, Loren Dunteman.

Kathy was a sweet, social butterfly who enjoyed meeting new people. She enjoyed dancing, square dancing, singing, and fishing throughout her life. Her Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life. She displayed the love of Christ through all of her words and actions. Jesus’ love light shined so brightly through Kathy. She shared God’s unconditional love with everyone she met. Kathy had a generous love for all her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her kind, caring and loving heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shelly Rorvick of Watertown and Jane Lundberg of Garretson; step daughters, Lisa (Steve) Dammann of Worms, NE and Tami Lagge of St. Libory, NE; grandchildren, Geri (John) Bunkers, Casey (Shawna) Rorvick, Brady (Emily Sloan) Rorvick, Laci (Chad Selchert) Rorvick, Demi (Andrew) Meyer, Greg and Nick Lundberg, Zach, Austin, and Lane Dammann, Kane and Devon Lagge-Coaker; brothers, Dan (Rita) Feller of Lee’s Summit, MO and Rick Feller of Lennox, SD; sisters, Lila Feller of Sioux Falls and Alice (Myron) Johnson of Sioux Falls; sister-in-law, Sharon Feller of Sioux City, IA; Roemer stepchildren, Jim Ganz, Pam Roemer, Terry Roemer, Randy (Michele) Roemer, Troy (Cheryl) Roemer, Nick (Jen) Roemer, Brad (Michele) Roemer, and Colleen Roemer; special friend, Loren Dunteman; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lilla Feller; husbands, Loren Lagge and Delwin Roemer; brothers, Larry Feller and Raymond Charles Feller; and sister, Marie and her husband Wally Jacobson.
