Jennifer Krant was born on September 14, 1985, in Slayton, Minnesota to Anthony “Tony” and Cheryl Hendrickson Krant. She grew up in Hadley, MN and graduated from Murray County Central High School in 2004. While in high school Jen played softball and basketball. She enjoyed golfing but her main love was shooting pool. Jen loved the girls on her team and the competitiveness of tournament’s. Over the years Jen worked at Subway and Jim’s Market both in Slayton. In 2020 she moved to Sioux Falls, SD and worked for Forum Communications until entering Sanford Hospital on July 4, 2026. On July 18th, 2026, Jen moved to Ava’s House in Sioux Falls and passed away there on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the age of 40.
Survivors include her mother, Cheryl Krant of Hadley, MN, sister, Kristin Sippel and her husband, Jim of Webster, MN, and aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Tony Krant, paternal grandparents, Alfred and Helen Krant, maternal grandparents, Harold and Ruth Hendrickson and godparents, Ray and Lavonne Priebe.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Slayton Memorial Gardens in Slayton, MN at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Chad Duffy officiating.
