Donald Edwin Anderson Jr., of Plainfield, IL, age 64, unexpectedly passed away on February 7, 2023. He was born in Slayton, Minnesota on December 16, 1958, the son of Donald Edwin Sr. and Janet Anne nee Smith Anderson.
Donald graduated from Chandler-
Lake Wilson High School in 1977. After high school he pursued a career in construction. He was a skilled carpenter and owned his own business for almost 25 years. Everyone knew Don by the pickup he drove- his old faithful grey chevy truck. Don could fix anything and would always show up when someone needed him. Once you were his friend you were always his friend. Don loved his family, his dog Tillie, his John Deere lawn tractor and riding his motorcycle. He was a renaissance outdoorsman who enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and riding ATV’s. He taught his daughter Lindsey everything he knew and never missed a school event or softball game.
On September 15, 1984, he married Karlene Aeikens in Benson, Minnesota, they enjoyed 38 years together.
Don is survived by his loving wife Karlene, devoted daughter Lindsey Anderson (Bill Price); caring mother Janet Anderson; dearest siblings Michelle (Kerry) Malmquist and Randy (Keri) Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father Donald Anderson Sr.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. until time of memorial service at 4:30 P.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Road, P.O. Box 665 Oswego, IL 60543.
