Ceona Ann Voss, 90, died Saturday, July 4th, 2026 in her home with her children at her bedside. She was born Ceona Ann Nelson on May 19, 1936 to Hermie and Leona Nelson in home near business corner Ocheyedan, Iowa. She graduated from High School in Harris, Iowa. Ceona worked on the farm, nannied, worked in a bakery, at Campbell’s soup company, children’s school, and Cashel’s nursing home in Worthington, MN.
Ceona had two children, David and Bridget, while in Worthington and Rushmore, MN and then met her love match, Duane Voss, of Garvin, MN. They were married in 1977 and lived in Garvin until a tornado and a fire forced them to move to Walnut Grove, MN.
After Duane passed away in June of 2008, Ceona moved to Princeton, MN in 2009 to be closer to her children’s families. She loved spending time with family and friends. Ceona enjoyed quilting, senior dining, vegetable and flower gardens, nature, and all animals, especially dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane Voss; nephew, Bradley Nelson; brother-in-law, John Koolstra; brother and sister-inlaw, Hermie and Wilma Nelson; step-son, Mike Voss; and Bridget’s father, Claude Byers.
Ceona is survived by her son, David (Tammy Jo) Aubrey; daughter, Bridget (Rob) Marsh; former son-in-law, Tom Wornson; grandchildren, Antonia Wornson, McKayla Aubrey, Keisha Aubrey, Brandton Marsh, Jesse Marsh, Justin Marsh, and Jacob Marsh; bonus family, Steve Voss, Cindi (Al) Krafve, Tom (Mary) Voss, Mark (Marsha) Voss, Julie Voss, and Barb Voss; bonus grandchildren; Nathan Voss, Rachel Garcia, Chris Voss, Heather Keating, Amanda Voss, Jenny Hughes, Christi Chapin, and Jessica Lucht; many bonus great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Ila) Nelson; sister, Lois Koolstra; brother, Loren (Terry) Nelson; and many very loved nieces and nephews.
Ceona was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Memorial Service will be Monday, August 3rd at Trinity Lutheran Church, 111 6th Ave N, Princeton, MN 55371, with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 with a meal to follow.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, August 4th at 1:00 at Hoiland Cemetery in Garvin, MN with a gathering afterwards at Lake Sarah Lutheran Church, Garvin, MN.
