Brennan Winter was born on February 6, 1980, in Slayton, Minnesota to Dr. Keith and Constance “Connie” Strouth Winter. He grew up in Slayton and graduated from Murray County Central High School in 1998. Following high school, Brennan attended Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, MN and later Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, IA. After college Brennan began working at Target Headquarters in St. Louis Park, MN. Brennan enjoyed playing baseball and softball especially with his brothers. Brennan was the Pitcher with his brothers on First and Third bases. His teams were dominant in their softball divisions. Brennan was a loyal Minnesota Golden Gopher Basketball fan as well as Wisconsin Badgers Basketball. Brennan passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his home in Minneapolis, MN at the age of 46.
Survivors include his mother, Connie Winter of Slayton, MN, two brothers, Patrick and Mary Jo Winter of Blaine, MN and Trevor and Heidi Winter of Lakeville, MN, two nephews and two nieces, Erica and Kenny Deschenne of Miami, FL, and Pierce Winter of Blaine, MN, Macy Winter of Japan, and Nolan Winter of Madison, WI, one great- niece, Priscilla Deschenne, one uncle, Dan and Doris Winter of Wakeman, OH and their children Merissa, Tate and Kimberly. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Keith Winter, maternal grandparents, Gene and Phyllis Strouth and paternal grandparents, George and Yvonne Winter.
A graveside service was on Friday, September 18, 2026, at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Slayton, MN at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Peter Schuster officiating.
