Ann Westbrook, age 87, of Granite Falls passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls, MN with interment at the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.

Ann Westbrook was born on January 28, 1938 in Worthington, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Ann graduated from Worthington High School in 1956 and began working for the Central Telephone Company as a telephone operator for almost five years. Ann married Thomas E. Westbrook in 1960 and the couple moved to Brookings, South Dakota in 1961. After moving to Granite Falls, MN in 1963, she worked for the Yellow Medicine School System as an instructional aide, retiring in 1998 after 25 years of service. Following retirement from the school system, Ann began working at Project Turnabout as a Human Relations Technician until 2012, retiring for the last time. Tom and Ann enjoyed camping trips with their three children when they were younger. They also enjoyed traveling to visit their son’s family in many different states. Visits to Branson, Missouri with friends was a highlight during retirement. Ann enjoyed time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed snuggling the little ones and loved hearing about and seeing the children as they grew up. After Tom died in 2016, Ann moved to Redwood Falls, MN. She liked to knit and sew in her younger years, read books, play bingo and watch television. She was losing her eyesight due to Macular Degeneration, so these activities were becoming more and more difficult.

Ann is survived by her three children: Sherri Christopherson of Redwood Falls, MN, Douglas (Susan) Westbrook of Onalaska, WI. and Jeffrey (Betty) Westbrook of Redwood Falls, MN; five grandchildren: Jason (Sarah) Christopherson of Eden Prairie, MN, Ashley (John) Lesnau of Austin, TX; Savanna (Trent) Wilder of Sparta, WI; Nicole (Patrick) Kauphusman of Eau Claire, WI and Alexandra (Sean) Maciej of Fargo, ND; eight great grandchildren: Kane and Brynn Christopherson; Jackson and Kenley Arntson; Logan and Mason Wilder; Christian and Bailey Kauphusman. She is survived by five siblings: Jim (Kay) Maroney, Jerry (Jo) Maroney, Michael Vincent, Jan (Brad) Anderson, and Jean (Mark) Kunerth and many nieces and nephews. Ann is preceded in death by her husband Tom, son-in-law, Jerry Christopherson, and her parents, James and Myrtle (Finney) Maroney.
