GIRLS FINISH BUSY WEEK, PREPARE FOR END OF SEASON

May 8 MLA/C at Slayton (x2) The MCC Rebel Softball team was at home for two games on Friday night. With the regular season coming to an end on May 14th in Slayton the Rebels would host the Wolverines of Mountain Lake Area Comfrey for two games as a makeup game that had to be pushed back two different times because of cold weather.

MCC BOYS “C” SQUAD TRACK CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS, GIRLS RUNNERS-UP

Murray County Central’s junior high track and field teams turned in a dominant performance at the Red Rock Conference “C” Squad Meet, highlighted by a conference championship for the boys team and a runner-up finish for the girls squad.

REBELS HAVE GREAT MEETS, BOYS CAPTURE CROWN AT TROJAN RELAYS

May 7 Rebel Relays A unique twist on the traditional track and field meet once again brought excitement and energy to the annual Rebel Relays as Murray County Central Rebels hosted six teams in its popular “true team relay” format. Several years ago, the MCC coaching staff reimagined the longtime Rebel Relays by removing all individual awards and focusing entirely on team success.

COURT QUEEN OF PEACE

Court Queen of Peace met at Immaculate of Mary Church in Currie on Tues., April 28, 2026 at 5 PM with light supper provided by the Currie members to 20 members and guest Lori Mickelson, 2nd vice-regent representing the State Board. She congratulated the court on the 75th anniversary and encouraged the court to make installation of officers a special occasion and to consider joining another court for that occasion. She traced her enthusiasm for CDA to the fact that she turns to her faith when she hits roadblocks, to the special gift of friends, prayer, and to the opportunity to offer services and donations to projects across the nation. She offered reminders of a retreat in Alexandria June 27, the National Convention in Coralville, IA in July, the Fall Workshop in Marshall August 27, and Habitat House in Northfield.

REBEL ROUNDUP- END OF SCHOOL YEAR WRAP-UP

It’s hard to believe that we are wrapping up another year! As we approach the end of the 25/26 school year we are finishing strong with final exams, end of year concerts, activities, and preparing for graduation and our sendoff of the class of 2026. Congratulations to the class of 2026! This week is the last week for our Senior class with graduation happening on Friday, May 15th.
