GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Do you believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Are you bornagain according to John 3;3? How do I do that you may say? Read Romans 9:30-33. Paul says that we are made righteous (saved) by faith. Ephesians 2:810 tells us we are saved by grace through faith and not by our works; although once we are saved good works are to be evident in our lives. God tells us that we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them; in other words, you can never do enough good works to earn favor with God for your salvation. You must receive Jesus Christ by faith and commit your life to following Him. Once a person is born-again, then they are to be baptised in water. Water baptism is telling the world that I now identify with Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection and He is now Lord of my life. Almost everyone knows John 3:16; again that tells us we are saved through faith. To properly believe in Jesus Christ means to believe in Him to the point that we truly repent of our sinful lifestyles and commit our lives to follow Him. In 1 Cor. 1:16-17 Paul lists a few people he baptised and said, “Christ has not sent me to baptise but to preach the gospel. So how does water baptism save us? It doesn’t. Paul goes on to say in verse 21 of that chapter, “....it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. Please study your Bible, receive Jesus and you can have assurance of your salvation. God bless.
