THE YOUNG WRITERS CONFERENCE

It is time to get kids excited about reading and writing. Students who like to tell stories, scary stories, funny stories, any kind of story can come learn tips on how to generate a great entertaining story, poem or create characters. Presenters at the Conference for Young Writers will teach students writing techniques to help them enhance their stories. Students will attend three hands-on learning sessions pertaining to an area of writing. The day will start with Peter Bloedel, Professor of Theater, musician & juggler. We encourage students to read and write as it can open a lifetime of opportunities for them.

This conference will be held at SMSU on January 5, 2023 (snow date Jan.6). Registered participants will attend three hands-on learning sessions in different areas of writing. It is open to students in grades 3-8. Schools and parents can register students online today at www.swwc.org/yw. If you have questions, contact Andrea at 507-537-2257 or andrea.anderson@ swwc.org. We would like to create awareness about this enrichment opportunity for students in grades 3-8. If possible, please. Thank you for your consideration.
