St. Ann’s Knights of Columbus Council #2587 held its annual free throw contest on January 9th at the Murray County Central High School Gym. 22 boys and girls ages 9 to 14 participated in the contest.
The winners are: 9 year old boys – Van Prahm, Slayton; 10 year old boys – Bobby Keller, Slayton; 10 year old girls – Brielle Plotz, Slayton; 11 year old boys – Max Mathiason, Slayton; 12 year old boys – Tristan Behrends, Slayton; 12 year old girls – Katherine Miller, Balaton; 13 year old boys – Wyatt Thompson, Slayton; 14 year old girls-Kelli Miller, Balaton; and 14 year old boys – Landon Johnson, Pipestone.
Each of these winners will participate in the district competition on Sunday, February 6th in Tyler. District winners will complete in the regional contest. ‘
