On Thursday October 5th the Warriors competed at the BOLD/BLHS Invite in Olivia.
Olivia’s golf course is notorious for being one of the flattest courses the Warriors compete at all season.
The Warrior girls finished second with 57 points losing to Redwood Valley with a near perfect score of 19 points. Brylei Schreier (21:51) and Sophia Nelson (21:57) led the girls placing eighth and ninth. Two places behind Nelson was Laiken Farris in 11th running 22:07. Then Holland Vogel (22:50) and Lindsey Hause (23:04) finished 14th and 15th finishing 14 seconds apart. Ruth Ethridge finished in 23:50 placing 21st. The seventh runner for the varsity girls was Lily Daniels (24:07) in 24th. In the girls JV race, Mara Clarke won with a time of 21:59.
Emma Risacher (25:41) was in 10th. Two places later was Courtney Gengler with a time of 26:21. The fourth runner in the girls JV race was Brealyn Damm running 29:29 to finish in 18th place.
The Warrior boys also placed second losing by just one point to Redwood Valley.
Evan Bumgardner (16:55) and Silas Stapek (17:59) placed third and fourth leading the boys team. Then placing sixth and seventh was Jon Olsem (18:11) and Matthew Stapek (18:23). Then in eighth was Caleb Appel finishing just four seconds behind Stapek. Caleb Ethridge (18:48) and Alex Betz (18:44) were 13th and 14th, also having a close finish.
The JV boys also were in second. Wesley Hause was in fifth running 20:15. Then Alex Kueney (20:21) and Beckett Stelter (20:23) were in 7th and 8th crossing the finish line two seconds apart.
Blaine Braun was in 12th running 21:55. The final two runners for the boys JV were Walker Biren (22:30) and Carter Knakmuhs (22:48) in 14th and 15th.
The junior high runners had a shortened 2,500 meter course to run. There was only one junior high girl runner for the Warriors this meet. Kaidyn Anderson ran 13:14 to finish in fifth place. As for the Warrior boys Tyler Reith(9:53.12)
