WARRIORS ADVANCE 4 TO STATE

The Fulda/Murray County Central Warriors are sending 4 wrestlers to the Minnesota state tournament this weekend at the XCEL Energy Center in Minneapolis. Congratulations go to Quintin Lewis, Carson Klein, Isaiah Wolske, and Colby Kesteloot.

Quintin Lewis(160#) took home 1st place, as well as Carson Klein(189#). Isaiah Wolske(172#) and Colby Kesteloot(HWT) both took 2nd and also earn a ride to the state tournament.

Other place winners at the section 3A tournament include: Dane Hansen 4th place at 107, Kaston Clarke 3rd at 114, Teague Meyer 3rd at 133, Brayden Gilb 4th at 145, and Luke Iverson 6th at 215.

Congratulations are also due for head coach Nick Henning being voted Section 3A Coach of the year. Nick is an alumni of the Warriors and has a state championship under his belt. Nick is a hardworking, selfless coach who always puts the team first. He takes the time for each individual wrestler and there’s no doubt, watching him coaching these kids, that his heart is really in it. His wife, Clair and 2 children make sacrifices during the wrestling season for Nick, but he’s always sure to make time for them too; along with being a full time farmer and helping run a family construction business. The team and fans are grateful for his continued dedication to the program. Thanks Nick!
