The Rebel Track teams traveled to Windom, competing in a seven team meet. The ideal weather conditions allowed for great performances with many of the athletes achieving personal best performances.

Ashton Kalas continues to lead the boys team in his hurdle events. The senior won the 110H in a personal best time of 17.65 while also taking top honors in the 300H. Kalas placed 7th in the long jump and was also a part of the 5th place 4x100 where he teamed up with Carson Engelkes, Dylan Doeden and Thomas Huso.

In the throwing field events, Huso placed 4th in the shot put with a toss of 39’2”. Fellow thrower, freshman Broox Platt, was 7th with a heave of 36’8”. Senior Dylan Doeden was 3rd in the discus, while Platt had a personal record while placing 6th.

Junior Brealyn Damm had an all around day for the Rebel’s girls team. She won the 100 hurdles in a personal best time and also took top honors in the long jump. She was the starting leg of the 4x200 relay with Courtney Gengler, Abby Overman and Ava Reemtsma that placed third and competed in the high jump for the first time ever, also finishing in third with a jump of 4’8”. Teammate Lindsey Hause won the event (4’10”) and also was the 300H winner. She took her third blue ribbon as a member of the 4x400 along with Ashley Overgaauw, Lily Daniels and Amanda Overgaauw.

Ashley Overgaauw also was a triple champion as she had top times in the 1600 and 800 (4x4 relay). MCC runners also placed 2nd (Amanda Overgaauw) 3rd (Sophia Nelson) and 4th (Brylei Schreier) in the open 800. Those four usually team up to run the 4x800 relay. Megan Bakke and Lily Daniels teamed up with Sophia and Amanda to run the 4x800 where they took top honor. Bakke placed 3rd in the 400 while Schreier was the winner. Abby Overman placed 6th in the 200, 2nd in the triple jump and was on the 4th placed 4x100 team with Courtney Gengler, Ava Reemtsma and Allie Paulzine.

Thrower Callie Platt was a double placer, finishing 4th in the shot put and 5th in the discus. Kylie Knakmuhs was 6th in the shot put.
