COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE SCHEDULED AT MCC HIGH SCHOOL AND MCMC
Murray County Central High School and Murray County Medical Center will host a blood drive on Tuesday, April 21. Murray County Central High School will host their blood drive from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Murray County Medical Center will host their blood drive from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donors can schedule a donation by logging into www.cbblifeblood.org, selecting “Donate Now”, “Blood Drive Calendar”, and choose April 21 or 605-3313222. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred.
As a thank-you for their generosity, all blood donors will receive a $20 Subway gift card, a small token of appreciation for a contribution that carries enormous impact at either blood drive event.
“Spring is here, and the need for blood is ever-present. Every day, blood is needed to treat accident victims, trauma patients, and even those facing pregnancy complications,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “The strength of local blood supplies depends on the willingness of community members to answer the call. Each donation that is made helps shore up those supplies; each one that isn’t puts additional pressure on an already stretched resource. Now is the time to join in. Be the person who steps forward, the one who makes the difference for a neighbor, a stranger, or a loved one in their moment of greatest need. Your single donation can help save up to three lives.”
