A snowmobile training has been set up for Saturday, December 10th,2022 at the Airport Meeting Room, on south Hwy 75, just outside of Pipestone. Class registration will be held from 8:00-8:30 a.m. with the class running at 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Youth, ages 11-15, (elevenyear-olds who will turn 12 by March 1st) who are interested in learning how to operate a snowmobile safely and to obtain a driver’s certificate are encouraged to sign up. Youth ages 16 years & older may take the certification Online. Anyone born after December 31, 1976 must have a certificate to operate a snowmobile. Pre-registration for snowmobile training is required by calling the Pipestone County Extension Office at 507-8251190 by December 1st with the following information: name, email address, phone, and mailing address. Each participant will be emailed further instructions about an online course that must be completed before the class on December 10th. The class size will be limited to 20.
This training will cover rules and regulations on operating a snowmobile plus machine maintenance and safety. It is offered through the Hiawatha Snow Blazers Snowmobile Club. Any questions concerning specifics of the class please contact Seth Kracht at 507820-0819.
