SLAYTON LIBRARY PRESENTS “TALES AWAY TO COLOR YOUR WORLD” PROGRAM

  • The summer reading theme at the Slayton Public Library has been animals. They held a “Pets Caught Reading” contest and enjoyed all the pictures that were sent in. Our winner was Lindsey Hause, whose chicken was caught reading with her. Thanks for all the votes on the Friends of the Slayton Public Library’s Facebook page and for the photos left in comments.

Everyone is invited to go on a reading adventure of hysterical proportions at the Murray County Fair on Thursday, August 19th at 3:00 p.m. This is an interactive journey through marvelous tales with Toby KID’S interactive show, “Tales Away to Color Your World”. Join Toby on a storytelling safari that will cross paths with lions and tigers and hares – Oh My! Share in a short story with Toby and his bird as they tell a tale loaded with slapstick hilarity. See the silliness of human puppets, be amazed by magic and find kindness as you laugh along with your community of old and new friends.

Toby KID Klauenberg has traveled around the world sharing his humor. Formerly a teacher, Toby’s talents, skills and silliness are his tools to continue educating with more than two hundred and fifty programs annually.

Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, August 19th, 3:00 p.m. at the Murray County Fair for a children’s show that encourages exploration and active learning for all ages.

This show is all about engaging children to connect with books, kindness, growth, and build community together through laughter.
