Please mark your calendars! The Slayton Community Band and the Slayton Community Choir directed by Christie Gergen are teaming up to bring you an AMAZING concert on Thursday, June 20 at 7:00 PM. Bring your family and friends for a FREE concert at Gullord Park. While you are there, be sure to enter your name for a chance to win a gift card from The Hub! The Band will be performing a variety of music. Among the selections are “Highlights from Jersey Boys”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, and “Let it Shine”. The kids march this week will feature a trio of “The Thunder”,” Manhattan Beach”, and “The Stars and Stripes Forever”. The Slayton Community Choir will be singing John Rutter’s “Distant Land”, “Best of the Beach Boys”, and “Shine, Jesus, Shine”. Our concert will conclude with a piece that will be performed with BOTH the band and the choir entitled “When You Believe” from the movie The Prince of Egypt. We hope to see you at the park!
Murray Lodge #199 will be sponsoring a Burger Feed from 5-7 PM. Full meal deal is $10 for the full meal which includes a burger, chips, bar and drink; $5 for just a Burger.
