Please mark your calendars! The Slayton Community Band and the Slayton Community Choir directed by Christie Gergen July 11th at 7:00 PM. Bring your family and friends for a FREE concert at Gullord Park. While you are there, be sure to enter your name for a chance to win a gift card from The Hub! The Band will be performing a variety of music. Among the selections are “Highlights from Jersey Boys”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, and “Let it Shine”. The kids march this week will feature a trio of “The Thunder”,” Manhattan Beach”, and “The Stars and Stripes Forever”. The Slayton Community Choir will be singing John Rutter’s “Distant Land”, “Best of the Beach Boys”, and “Shine, Jesus, Shine”. Our concert will conclude with a piece that will be performed with BOTH the band and the choir entitled “When You Believe” from the movie The Prince of Egypt. We hope to see you at the park!
The Murray County Medical Center Relay for Life Team will be serving Cheesy Chicken Sandwich, Chips, Sherbet, and Lemonade/Water $8 starting at 5:30pm. Profits are going towards the Caregivers for Life (MCMC’s Relay for Life team).
