The Slayton Area Chamber of Commerce invites area residents and visitors to celebrate Flag Day with a community Burger Feed and Car Cruise-In on Sunday, June 14, at the Murray County Fairgrounds in Slayton.
The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and offers an opportunity for families, friends, and car enthusiasts to gather while honoring the American flag and supporting local organizations.
A meal featuring a burger, chips, water, and cookie will be available for $10 per person, while ALL VETERANS WILL EAT FREE, as a token of appreciation for their service to our country.
In addition to the meal, visitors can enjoy a Car Cruise-In showcasing classic, antique, and specialty vehicles. Individuals interested in participating in the cruise-in are encouraged to contact Marilyn Brands at 507-760-0510 for additional information.
The Murray County Dairy Association will also be on hand serving delicious malts for $5 each, offering a cool treat for attendees throughout the event.
Burgers will be grilled and served by members of the Murray County Cattlemen’s Association, helping make the event a true community partnership.
“The Flag Day Burger Feed is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, recognize our veterans, enjoy great food, and celebrate the pride we have in our country and our local community,” said representatives of the Slayton Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event is open to the public and will take place at the Murray County Fairgrounds, Slayton, Minnesota.
