SKYWARN SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS TRAINING

First Responders and Community Members are invited to attend a Skywarn Severe Weather Awareness Training on Monday, April 6th at 7:00 PM. This event will be hosted at the Murray County Central Schools Auditorium, located at 2420 28th Street, Slayton, Minnesota.

This training is open to the public, and attendance is encouraged from:

• Fire personnel

• Law enforcement

• EMS providers

• Emergency management partners

• And all community members Due to recent changes, the National Weather Service has scaled back its in-person training offerings. Murray County has been selected as one of the few locations to host an in-person session, making this a valuable opportunity for the area.

This training is especially beneficial for:

• Outdoor enthusiasts

• Camp counselors

• Coaches

• Scout groups

•Anyone interested in severe weather safety and awareness

• First Responders Understanding severe weather and how to respond can make a critical difference in protecting lives and property.
