The Murray County Historical Society and the Slayton Public Library are partnering to host a Scan For Keeps event!
Do you have a favorite recipe in your grandma’s handwriting, or a photo to share with future generations? Professional scanning equipment will be at the library where you’ll be able to scan and save your personal documents and photos in high resolution for free!
Register with the Slayton Public Library for a 30-minute time slot. To -register, you may book online via the Facebook event, or by calling the library at 1-507-836-8778.
Appointments are offered during the dates and times listed below.
- Wednesday, December 10 from 2:00-4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, December 11 from 2:00-4:30 p.m.
- Friday, December 12 from 2:00-4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Participants will need to bring their own flash drive to load the digitized documents on to in order to get them home. Flash drives will be available to purchase if needed. A staff member of the Murray County Historical Society will be on site to perform the scanning. Limit of 15 items per time slot.
