Murray County ECI presents Touch-a-Truck! Saturday, June 10 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Murray County Fairgrounds in Slayton Some are big and some are not; some say BEEP and others say HONK. Some are quiet, and some are quite loud! Come visit them all and find out for yourself how fun trucks can be! The Murray County Early Childhood Initiative (ECI) presents Touch-A-Truck from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at the Murray County Fairgrounds.
Touch-A-Truck is a familyfriendly event, new to Murray County, that gives kids of all ages the opportunity to explore big vehicles they see every day. The goal is a hands-on experience to better understand how the trucks work and who makes them go. Attendees get a chance to see trucks and equipment up close, learn what they do, understand vehicle safety, pose for photos, and ask the vehicle operator questions.
What kind of vehicles can you expect at Touch-A-Truck? Construction, emergency, farm equipment, transportation, utility, delivery, and other types of equipment you might find around the area. From 10 to 11 a.m., there will be no honking or beeping for those with sensory concerns.
This new and exciting event is a great opportunity to get outside this summer with your family, connect with local large industries, as well as encourage kids and teens to find interest in various fields. Refreshments and lunch will be available on the fairgrounds during the event.
Anyone interested in sharing their truck or fun vehicle for the Touch-A-Truck event can contact Josh Malchow at 507525-4469 or email murraycountyeci@ gmail.com.
