REQUEST FOR PUBLIC INPUT: COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Throughout March, Murray County Medical Center is partnering with Sanford on a Community Heath Needs Assessment survey to help bring transparency to the gaps in our public health offerings. As health care providers, Sanford and Murray County Medical Center recognize the role that they have on impacting resident health. They also recognize that many factors play a role in public health including transportation, housing, and social determinants.

The Community Health Needs Assessment survey assists health care providers in assessing the healthcare needs of their community on a consistent basis. Non-profit hospital facilities are required to conduct a community health needs assessment every three years. Needs identified through the assessment are subsequently addressed in conjunction with a variety of community partners. This collaboration process provides a holistic approach to forming healthier communities.

Murray County Medical Center is requesting all Murray County residents participate in this survey to ensure a robust response and accurate data for the county to make informed decisions regarding public health. Individuals can access the survey by scanning the QR code with their smartphone camera. The survey can also be accessed through the Murray County Medical Center website on the homepage at murraycountymed.org
