Survivors were treated to a Pork Burger meal and Malt as well as a goodie bag that included a prayer cross engraved with Hope and a pair of feet to remind them that Every Step at Relay brings Hope.

This year’s honorary chairs Glenn Crowley and Katie Hoffmann shared their emotional journeys with those in attendance. Totzke Funeral Home once again sponsored the Butterfly Release. Games were organized by teams this year with audience participation encouraged. A special luminary lighting ceremony was held as the glow sticks were snapped to illuminate the luminaries.

The Currie team claimed 1st place in team awards raising $16,661.74. Schaap Sanitation claimed 2nd place raising $8,272, with MCC Students raising $8,045.52 to claim 3rd place.

Thanks to all who supported the Relay for Life of Murray County this year. Raising over $71,000 will continue to help find that cure for cancer.
