3 FOR REBEL GOLFERS

The Red Rock Conference hasn’t been able to catch a break this season with the weather. The Rebels traveled to Tyler Golf Club. The rounds started off a little rocky due to some wet course conditions. However, MCC’s golfers were able to string together some good shots and have solid rounds. The Rebels needed to play aggressive and cut down their strokes in order to finish in a good spot before the final conference meet.
Rachael Huso came in with the low score for MCC, carding an 89. Huso had a difficult first hole, but played solid bogey golf the rest of the round. She finished in 2nd place individually. Huso stated, “I feel I played well, but missed a lot of par putts. Going into next week I need to work on my putting and trying more bump and run approach shots.” MCC’s team score was rounded out by Natalie Einck (94), Ava Johnson (106), and Lizzie Daniels (108). The Rebels shot a team total of 397 which was a good improvement from their last meet. They are still sitting in 2nd place as a team heading into the final conference meet.
The Rebel boys played very well in Tyler, improving their team score by a few strokes from the previous meet as well. They finished with a team total of 376, which landed them in 5th place. Their overall team total score also has them sitting in 6th place going into next week’s final meet. Lucas Kuball led MCC with an 89. He carded 1 birdie and 4 pars throughout the day. The Rebels team score was rounded out by Jett Veldhuisen (93), Hudson Schryvers (94), and Kaden Landsman (100).
