The Murray County Central boys varsity cruised to an easy victory over MLA/C Tuesday afternoon in an 11-1 win in Slayton at Boelter Field. MLA/C got the bats going right away in the first inning with Jake Evers driving in a run, leading after the first, 1-0. The Rebels bats got going and totaled 15 hits on the day, with Christian Tentinger leading the team going 3-3. Other players hitting multiple times were Derek Kluis, Carter Benda, Krew Schneider and Abe Paulzine.
Senior Abe Paulzine took the mound and recorded the third victory for the Rebels. Abe went six innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out four while walking one.
Alex Blom took the loss for MLA/C going five innings, allowing 14 hits and 11 runs while striking out 6. Evers led the team with two hits in three at bats.
