Derek Kluis came to the ballpark and meant business on Friday, driving in four teammates on three hits to lead the Murray County Central Rebels past Pipestone 15-8. The base paths were crowded in this high scoring game, The Rebels collected 12 hits while the Arrows had 8. One went out of the park for the Rebels with a long ball from Paulzine in the fourth inning. Others hitting bat to ball multiple times were Connor DeGreeff and Derek Kluis. DeGreeff went 4 -4 at the plate leading the Murray County Central Rebels to their second victory of the season.
The senior right-handed hurler Abe Paulzine was on the mound for the Rebels and took the win . He allowed seven hits, and six runs over four innings, striking out three batters. Kluis came in from the bullpen and hurled three innings in relief.
Kellen Johnson took the loss for Pipestone, surrendering six runs on five hits over one and two thirds innings, striking out 4 Rebels.
Landon Quist, Jackson Melcher and Merrick Heidebrink all collected multiple hits for Pipestone.
